I am a Teaching Assistant Professor and film scholar in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I hold my Ph.D. in English and Comparative Literature with a concentration in film studies from UNC-Chapel Hill (May 2026).
My book project in progress argues that body horror in contemporary cinema is amidst an ongoing transformation, where body horror has shifted from a mere subgenre to an intergeneric, experimental, and unapologetically feminist mode of address. More broadly, my interests include genre and horror studies, feminist approaches to film, and film aesthetics. I also embrace videographic criticism across my research and teaching.
